The student holding the HND at Yimga-Institute has the ability to take operational responsibility for all or part of a business management activity, a computer system and networks, an industrial production cycle or a health service unit.
The HND (Higher National Diploma ) is a state diploma in higher education which is obtained two years after the GCE Advanced level, it is an internationally recognized professional diploma. Training in the HND cycle lasts two years, alternating with periods of compulsory internships. Its validation allows to have the professional skills specific to the training specialty.
The curriculum
Students with a bachelor's degree at Yimga-Institute develop a set of specialized, technical, analytical and interpersonal skills that prepare them to succeed in professional roles specific to their field of study.
The student benefits from vocational training during their first year at Yimga-Institute. The acquisition of practical knowledge and professional simulations are implemented in all programs. During the year, the student completes 4 complementary professional projects related to professional activities in companies, and finishes the 1st year of study with an 8-week internship. At the end of the 1st year of study, in addition to continuous assessments and knowledge evaluations (quizzes, exercises, practical work, presentations, etc.), the student already possesses the required professional skills and professional know-how.
The primary objective of Yimga-Institute remains and is the success in the HND exam. During the 2nd year of studies, 2 mock HND exams are organized in January and April. They take place in conditions similar to those of the final state exam, and include tests taken from the HND annals.
The holder of the HND at Yimga-Institute has functional versatility. They are capable of ensuring the operational management of a unit in its entirety, as well as the animation and management of a team.

Candidates for the HND cycle in Cameroon must first hold a baccalaureate, the GCE Advanced level or any foreign diploma recognized as equivalent. The HND cycle is accessible at theYIMGA Higher Institute upon review of the application, in all fields. After obtaining the HND, all possibilities are open to you. Many companies are looking for well-trained, highly qualified, specialized, and ready-to-hire HND holders. You can also choose to complete your studies by obtaining a Bachelor degree after one year of obtainig your HND , and finally continue to train in a Master's degree. It is also possible for you to integrate a specialized business or engineering school.
